An “Agreement of Setting up ‘FEI Xiaotong Scholarship’ at University of Science and Technology of China” was reached between Chinese Overseas Friendship Association of University Alumni and the School of Management on the morning of 29 August. Presents included CHEN Yuefeng, secretary of Chinese Overseas Friendship Association of University Alumni, LIANG Liang, executive dean of the School of Management, RUI Feng, deputy secretary of Party Committee of the School of Management and responsible people for students’ affairs.

On the signing ceremony, LIANG Liang introduced the education model, the mission and the future directions of the School of Management. He thanked the Chinese Overseas Friendship Association of University Alumni for setting up “FEI Xiaotong Scholarship”. CHEN Yuefeng gave an introduction to Chinese Overseas Friendship Association of University Alumni, the mission, the reward objects and relative requirements of “FEI Xiaotong Scholarship”. CHEN Yuefeng said the good reputation of USTC and the achievements of the School of Management have been widely recognized, and she hoped the set-up of “FEI Xiaotong Scholarship” can better motivate students to study hard.

“FEI Xiaotong Scholarship” was funded by FEI Xiaotong Education Foundation to reward outstanding undergraduate and graduate students of sociology, management and economics in high-level universities. The mission of the foundation is to support China’s education, to motivate students, to improve international exchange and cooperation, so as to make contribution to the strategy of revitalizing China through science and education. The running business of FEI Xiaotong Education Foundation was taken charge by Chinese Overseas Friendship Association of University Alumni.

“FEI Xiaotong Scholarship” at the School of Management will reward no less than 4 excellent students every year since this year.
