After successful career talks of Lenovo, Microsoft and IBM, campus recruitment fully started since 8th October. By 19th October, Careers Guidance Center of USTC has organized 59 job fairs and issued more than 100 recruitment information. 267 companies and organizations have made an appointment to come. This is the first recruiting peak time for students who graduate in 2013.

Attending campus job fairs is one of the major ways to obtain employments for students. By now, employers that came to USTC include not only FORTUNE 500 firms like Microsoft, Lenovo, Sumsung, Unilever, IBM, Huawei, Bank of Communications of China, China Construction Bank, but also government departments and state key units like Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Electronic Technology Group Corporation and China Academy of Engineering Physics. Baidu, 360, BOE Technology, EMC, eBay and some other domestic and international known enterprises also set USTC as one of its recruiting sits. On 15th October, 32 enterprises and public institutions of Shanghai held a special job fair at USTC for the first time through the joint work of Careers Guidance Center of USTC and Shanghai Talent Service Center.

Job fairs will keep compact in middle and late October, and three ones that respectively organized by alumni enterprises, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and Hangzhou Talent Service Center will be held on 20, 21 and 23 October. The number and quality of job fairs this year is stable to up compared with former years.
Careers Guidance Center of USTC has contacted employers through telephone, email and visit since the summer vacation, and students were informed from Placement Information Network and Bulletin Board System. Careers Guidance Center continues its counseling for resume modification, interview and contract signing to improve students’ competition.
