Near 100 executive MBA graduates came back to USTC to join the Homecoming Day for EMBA on 7 April. The School of Management redefined the process of the homecoming day, and a series of activities including dean’s speech, fresh news of students, garden party and wish walls were delivered.
LIANG Liang, Executive dean of the School of Management, GU Jibao, dean of Graduate School, CAO Weilin, School Secretary of the Party Committee, ZHAO Dingtao, associate dean of the school, RUI Feng, School Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and EMBA instructors attended the event. The event was hosted by LUO Biao, the vice director of EMBA Centre.
Prof. LIANG Liang gave a presentation of Development Review of School of Management in 2012, in which he stated how the school fulfills its mission through teaching, globalization, student service and research. He stressed that the school is in the process of promoting AACSB accreditation, which also helps the school maintain its competitiveness through continuous improvement.
After the presentation, EMBA alumni not only shared fresh news of their classes, including setting up winery and celebrating women’s day and others, but also gave suggestions and expectations for the school.
Students took a campus tour during the garden party and their ideas and wishes were posted on the wish wall.
EMBA Homecoming Day has been an annual activity to provide further faculty and student interaction.
