In the afternoon of 19 April 2013, director of Institute of Science and Technology Policy and Management Science, Chinese Academy of Science gave a lecture of Innovation Driving Development: Choice of Strategy and Policy at the auditorium. Near 200 students from master program, PhD program, MBA and EMBA attended the lecture.

MU Rongping specified the current situation and research prospect of China under the background of markedly breakthrough of emerging technology and emerging industry and higher demand for green development, from Science and Technology Policy and Management Science, connotation and denotation of innovative development, global innovation development situation, and policy framework of innovation development to innovation development policy science.

After the lecture, MU Rongping had an exchange with students on how developing countries are narrowing the innovation development gap between developed countries, how to protect business mode innovation companies and etc..

MU Rongping, director of Institute of Science and Technology Policy and Management Science, obtained his doctoral degree of Philosophy from Berlin Technical University, and his master and bachelor degrees were conferred by University of Science and Technology of China. MU also serves as the director of Innovation Development Research Center, CAS, director of Knowledge Patent Research and Training Center, CAS, member of Beijing Expert Consultative Committee, member of Economic and Scientific Consultative Committee, European Patent Bureau, vice chairman and secretary general of Chinese High-technology Industry Development Promotion Association, vice chairman of Chinese Science and Technology policy research association and chief editor of Research Management. He has participated in the draft of many important documents and publication work of academic monograph.
