Chinese and foreign students of USTC, some of their supervisors, Chinese language teachers, foreign students and teachers from other universities, and leaders of the USTC graduate school, Communist Youth League and International Cooperation Committee were gathered at the International Conference Hall on the East Campus on the evening of Dec 27th and spent a memorable night in celebration of the New Year.
The party was hosted by Chinese student Minshi Peng and Munir from Pakistan whose fluent English and humorous presentation were highly enjoyable.
The show was noted for its international flavors with exotic dances, bilingual group singing, guitar solo, Chinese folk music, and many other performances.
The sketch “A Chinese Language Lesson” presented by a group of Chinese and foreign students was especially funny and laughter from the audience never stopped from beginning to end.
On behalf of all foreign students, Ali Syed Muhammad expressed best wishes to their Chinese teachers for the new year.
The atmosphere at the party was lively and entertaining with various kinds of games played by participants.
All performers and staff danced together at the end of the party to express their happiness.
Cameras and cell phones helped catch memorable moments and highlight best wishes for a “Better USTC and Better Life”.
