The team from the School of Management of USTC won a Golden Prize in the MBA Special Competition in the 2014 China College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition with their project on the "Application of New Material with Polycrystalline powder" after a 3-day contest from Sept. 24th to Sept. 26th.
The six representatives of the team were all from the 2013 MBA class with great industrial experience. They built up the project based on their previous innovation and polished it with close cooperation and team effort, with the support of the guidance from the teachers with related expertise. They competed with other 100 projects covering a wide range including Agriculture, Fishery, Food, Medicine and Bio-technology, Chemical Technology, Environment Science, Intelligence Technology, E-business, Material Science, Mechanics and Resources, Cultural Innovation, and Service and Consultancy. After rounds of proposal submission, project presentation, and Q&A, they won one of the 16 gold-level prizes with their excellent innovation.
They showed great spirit and manner to the judges and peer competitors during the competition. Their project was highly commended by the judges of the MBA Special Competition Awards.
The China College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition for the national college students is held every 2 years and has three Main Competition Awards and two Special Competition Awards. It developed from the Challenge Cup, and is jointly hosted by The Central Committee of Communist Youth League, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Association for Science and Technology, and All-China Students’ Federation. USTC will send four teams to compete in the Finale of the Main Competition Awards in November, to be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province.
