This year witnessed a fierce competition among a total of 14 teams from Anhui University of Technology, Hohai University (HHU), Nanjin university (NJU), Nanjin Normal University (NNU), China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), Zhejiang University (ZJU), Zhejiang University of Technology (ZUT) and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), all of which proceeded to this round after winning their respective campus competitions.
The competition features the rule of "major/minor PK double battles", a pioneering pattern of competition employed nationwide, which means standby teams will join each round of inter-team QA section when two teams are competing against each other on stage. According to some insiders, this rule has dramatically elevated the fierceness of the competition, posing a harsher requirement for all the participants in terms of fast reaction, analysis, and response.
