Discipline of Finance focuses on the combination of theory and practice, traditional theory and latest trend. Students are required to master the basic theory of modern economy and finance, to be familiar with the business of China’s finance work and international finance work, to learn major financial policy and the trend of financial reform, and to master the basic knowledge and analysis technology of currency, bank, exchange rate, settlement, credit, capital market and tools. Graduates are suitable to serve as professional talents for banks, security companies, financial development companies, trust and investment corporations and insurance companies.
 

Duration, Degree Conferment and Graduation Requirement

Duration: Four years.

Degree: bachelor degree of economics.

Requirement: 160 credits are required for graduation (including dissertation).

Basic courses include Introduction to Management (3 credits), Microeconomics (3 credits), Macroeconomics (3 credits), Operational Research (3 credits), Principle of Accountancy (2 credits), Commercial Law (2 credits), Database Technology and Application (3.5 credits), Probability and Mathematical Statistics (3 credits), Complex Variables Functions (2 credits), Mathematical Equations (2 credits) and Computational Method (2 credits).

     

Specialized courses are composed of compulsory courses and selective courses, with compulsory courses including Financial Institute and Financial Market (3 credits), Econometrics (3.5 credits), Time Series Analysis (3.5 credits), Random Process (3 credits), Monetary Banking (3 credits), Investment Theory (2 credits), Risk Management and Insurance (3 credits) and Corporate Finance (3 credits). Selective courses include Financial Management (2 credits), Securities Investment Funds (2 credits), Security Analysis and Investment (2 credits), Foundations and Practice of Actuarial Science (3 credits), Multivariate Statistical Analysis (3.5 credits), International Economics (3 credits), Interest Theory (2 credits), Fixed Income Securities (2 credits), Behavioral Finance (2 credits) and Life Actuarial Science (2 credits), and students are required to study no less than 26 credits within these courses.
